Who provides what

Film 36 is a service published by Teddy Verneuil, sole trader (full details in the legal notice). It offers three products:

• the roll, a disposable camera inside the Film 36 iPhone app;
• the album, an online wedding photo album: app.film36.app for the couple, film36.app/a/… for the guests;
• the guest book, where guests leave the couple a voice or video message: it opens with the same link and QR code as the album, and can be bought alone or with it.

These terms govern the use of these services and the purchase of the album and the guest book. By creating an album, uploading files or a message to one, or buying the full album or the guest book, you accept them.

What the album includes

• Free version: up to 100 photos, no video; uploads open for 30 days after the wedding date (or after the album is created, if the wedding has already taken place).
• Full album: unlimited number of photos and videos, up to 50 GB per album, 1 GB per file and 5 minutes per video; uploads open for 12 months after the wedding date or the purchase date, whichever is later.

Files are kept in original quality, untouched.

The guest book

The guest book lets guests leave the couple a message: a voice message, a video message, or both, depending on what the couple chose. It opens with the same link and QR code as the album.

• Guest book, one format (voice or video): €19.90 including VAT. The couple chooses the format offered to guests and can change it.
• Guest book, both formats: €24.90 including VAT. Going from one format to both costs €5.
• Full album and guest book: €59 including VAT (one format) or €64 including VAT (both). Adding the guest book to a full album already paid for costs the difference (€10 or €15); so does adding the full album to a guest book already paid for.

Each guest keeps one message (2 minutes at most): they can play it back, replace it or delete it. The guest book takes up to 500 guests and 40 GB. The couple can record a 30-second greeting, which guests can listen to before they speak. A tablet set at the entrance (the kiosk) lets guests without a smartphone leave their message.

A guest book bought on its own does not include the photo gallery: guests only see the guest book. Photos already uploaded remain visible to the couple.

The guest book is open, and kept, for 12 months from the wedding date (or from payment, if later), like the full album.

Price and payment

The full album costs €49 including VAT. It is a one-time payment: no subscription, no renewal.

Payment takes place on a secure Stripe page. The sale is made by Link (Stripe group), acting as reseller: Link collects the payment, calculates and remits your country’s VAT, sends you the receipt and invoice, and appears on your bank statement as “LINK.COM* …”. Link’s terms, shown on the payment page, apply to the payment. Film 36 never sees your card details.

The guest book is paid for the same way, in one go. The price shown before payment is what is left to pay: what the album already has is deducted.

The Unlimited party for the roll (€19.99) is bought in the app, on the App Store: it is sold by Apple, under Apple’s terms, and Apple also handles its refunds.

Activation

The full album, or the guest book, is activated as soon as the payment is confirmed, usually within seconds. An email confirms it.

Right of withdrawal

The full album is a digital service that starts as soon as you pay: videos, unlimited uploads and 12-month storage open straight away. Before paying, you expressly ask for it to start immediately and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code): a checkbox in the full album window confirms it. Without it, payment does not open.

The full album is therefore not refundable once paid. If it does not work as promised, write to us at hello@film36.app: we will find a solution or refund you. A refunded album returns to the free version, with its limits and retention period.

The same goes for the guest book: it opens as soon as you pay, and the same checkbox, ticked before paying, records your agreement and the waiver of your right of withdrawal.

Your account and your guests

The couple signs in with Google, Apple or a code received by email. Guests need no account: they join the album with its link or QR code, and a first name.

The link gives access to the album: share it with your guests, and only them. You can change the link at any time, add an access code, remove a guest’s access, hide or delete an upload.

Uploaded photos and videos

They belong to the people who took them. By uploading a file, each person allows Film 36 to store it, process it (thumbnails) and show it to the album’s members, solely to run the service and for its duration. Film 36 uses them for nothing else: no advertising, no model training, no transfer.

Everyone remains responsible for what they upload: respect the image rights of the people photographed, children in particular, and upload nothing unlawful. Film 36 hosts this content without reviewing it beforehand. Any clearly unlawful content can be reported to hello@film36.app: it will be removed promptly. The couple moderates their album.

Guest book messages belong to the people who recorded them. By leaving a message, each person allows Film 36 to store it and pass it on to the couple, and the couple to keep it for themselves. A guest can withdraw their message as long as the guest book is open.

Duration and deletion

Each album shows its end date. On that date, the album, its guest book messages and all its files are permanently deleted. Remember to download everything before (the “Download all” button). Film 36 cannot restore a deleted file.

Availability and liability

Film 36 takes reasonable measures to keep the service running and to keep files until the announced date, without being able to guarantee the absence of interruption. Except in case of gross negligence, Film 36’s liability is limited to the price paid for the album.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change. For a purchase, the applicable version is the one in force on the day of payment.

Disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If something goes wrong, write to us first at hello@film36.app: we almost always find a solution. Failing an agreement, the French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the protective rules of your country of residence.
