The rented phone: the charm of the handset, one guest at a time
While one person talks, the others wait. At cocktail hour a line forms; later, the dance floor drowns out the voices. Plenty of guests give up.
The audio guest book, without the rental
Put a QR code on the tables. Each guest scans it and leaves you a voice message from their own phone: a memory, a wish, a laugh you’ll replay in ten years. No app, no account, no phone to rent.
The vintage phone is lovely. But it has one handset, in one spot, often right next to the music.
While one person talks, the others wait. At cocktail hour a line forms; later, the dance floor drowns out the voices. Plenty of guests give up.
Every guest has a phone in their pocket. They step outside for two minutes, during dessert or the next morning, and talk to you in peace. A hundred guests can record at the same time.
Want the handset ritual back? The tablet kiosk gives you the same thing. See below.
Thirty seconds, nothing to install, no account. This is exactly what your guests see.
The QR code is on the poster and the table cards, in the style of your wedding. Everyone else gets the link with a ready-made message. It all opens in the browser, no app.
You record a short welcome, up to 30 seconds. Guests play it with one tap, or skip straight to their own message: nothing ever plays on its own.
A beep, and they’re on: up to 2 minutes. For the shy ones, an idea appears (“Your favorite memory with them”) and changes with a tap. They listen back, start again if they like, then send.
A guest can’t make it? They leave their message from home, through the same link, or send a voice memo already recorded on their phone.
Castles, barns, country estates: the signal is often weak, and that is exactly where messages usually get lost.
Here, nothing is lost. The recorded message is kept in the guest’s phone. It sends itself as soon as the signal is back: in the car, at the hotel, or on their next visit to the page. The guest doesn’t have to do anything.
For guests without a smartphone, or to bring back the ritual of the phone: set a tablet at the entrance or the bar. Guests record one after another, the first name is optional, and a 4-digit code stops anyone leaving the kiosk by mistake.
Everything lands in your space as it happens on the day. The next morning, you have a real guest book to leaf through.
One card per guest, with their first name, the time of their message and the waveform of their voice. Search a name, sort, hide: it’s all there.
One tap and the messages play one after another, first to last. The best time to hear them: together, the next morning.
Ordinary audio files named like “2026-06-12 21h42 - Sophie”: one by one or all at once. Keep them, edit them into a film, burn them.
Rentals often send your messages back weeks after the event, on a USB stick or a disc. Here you can listen the next morning, and everything stays online for a year. We warn you before anything is erased.
A guest book is personal. By default, nobody but the couple listens.

Yes. The link works from anywhere, before, during or after the wedding, for 12 months. A cousin abroad or a grandmother who stayed home can still speak to you.
Each message can last up to 2 minutes, and you can receive up to 500. Each guest keeps a single message: recording a new one replaces the previous one.
The message is kept in the guest’s phone and sent as soon as the signal returns. On the kiosk, messages wait in the tablet.
By default, only the couple. You can choose to share them with your guests or play them on the evening slideshow; guests are told before they record.

Every message downloads as an ordinary audio file named after the date, the time and the guest, one by one or all together. You can copy them to a USB stick, burn them, or add them to your wedding film.
No. If you love the look, keep a vintage phone as a prop for photos: the QR code and the kiosk tablet do the recording.
